1. Who we are

Chervik (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website (chervik.com).

2. Data we collect

We collect personal data only when you actively provide it:

  • Contact form — name, email address, company name, and your message.
  • Newsletter — email address.

We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, session recordings, or analytics services. No personal data is collected from visitors who do not submit a form.

3. Why we process your data

Contact form

Legal basis: legitimate interests(Art. 6(1)(f) UK & EU GDPR) — to respond to your enquiry. We have balanced this against your interests and concluded that you would reasonably expect us to use your contact details to reply to you.

Newsletter

Legal basis: consent(Art. 6(1)(a) UK & EU GDPR) — you opt in voluntarily. You may withdraw consent at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by emailing us directly.

4. Who we share your data with

We use the following third-party processor to handle form submissions:

  • Web3Forms — receives contact and newsletter form data on our behalf and forwards it to us by email. We have a data processing agreement with Web3Forms. Their privacy policy is available at web3forms.com/privacy.

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise disclose your personal data to any other third parties.

5. How long we keep your data

  • Contact form data — retained for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry, and deleted within 12 months of our last communication.
  • Newsletter subscriptions — retained until you unsubscribe or withdraw consent.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access — request a copy of personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Erasure — ask us to delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Restriction — ask us to restrict processing of your data in certain circumstances.
  • Objection — object to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent — at any time for processing based on consent (newsletter).

7. International transfers

Web3Forms may process data on servers located outside the UK and EEA, including the United States. Any such transfer is subject to appropriate safeguards in accordance with UK GDPR and EU GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not otherwise transfer your personal data outside the UK/EEA.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. For material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify affected individuals.
